TREE SCREENS AND EVERGREEN SCREENS

There are many  reasons to buy tree screens. New developments may need hiding or unattractive views covering. More mature trees and large hedges often solve the problem in an attractive way which improves with age. Some can form evergreen screens.

We can arrange for large trees to be delivered to you and for mature trees to be

supplied and planted by professionals.

Poplar, Birch, Willow, Alder, and Hornbeam can make good tree screens but they lose their leaves in the winter                                                                  

Lawson and Leyland Cypress, Western Red Cedar, Evergreen Oak, Scots Pine

and Austrian Pine  often make good evergreen screens

Evergreen hedges over 2m may be subject to objections from neighbours or action from your local authority who may be able to enforce reduction to 2m.

first three digits of your postcode (so that we can work out delivery prices).

WHEN YOU BUY LARGE AND MATURE TREES PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THEY MAY NEED PLANTING BY CONTRACTORS. IF YOU BUY SEMI MATURE OR MATURE TREES IN PARTICULAR THEY CAN EASILY BE ROCKED BY HIGH WINDS AND MAY NEED GROUND ANCHORS OR BRACING. IF YOU BUY LARGE TREES IN CONTAINERS BIGGER THAN AROUND 60 LITRES THEY MAY BE DIFFICULT TO HANDLE AND SUCH LARGE TREES MAY NEED MOVING AND PLANTING BY MACHINE.

WATERING MAY BE ESSENTIAL DURING THE FIRST TWO YEARS AT LEAST FOR LARGE TREES AND ESPECIALLY MATURE TREES. AFTER YOU BUY LARGE TREES, HEDGES OR EVERGREEN SCREENS THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO DRY OUT DURING THIS TIME.
