The nurseries of the UK and Europe can supply an enormous range of large trees. They range from smaller trees grown in containers, which a strong person might lift and plant alone, to enormous mature trees. The largest specimen trees have been grown in open ground and can only be moved and planted by machine.

We can supply most of them. Very large trees need planting and aftercare from experts. For large trees in containers you, or a local landscaper, may be able to arrange planting.

 

We source from reliable growers in this country and abroad who are used to supplying high quality mature trees.

Please note that our minimum order is £500 and that delivery is charged at cost where it is charged separately.

 

WHEN YOU BUY LARGE TREES AND MATURE TREES PLEASE REMEMBER THAT THEY MAY NEED PLANTING BY CONTRACTORS. IF YOU BUY SEMI-MATURE OR MATURE TREES IN PARTICULAR THEY CAN EASILY BE ROCKED BY HIGH WINDS AND MAY NEED GROUND ANCHORS OR BRACING. IF YOU BUY LARGE TREES IN CONTAINERS BIGGER THAN AROUND 60 LITRES THEY MAY BE DIFFICULT TO HANDLE AND SUCH LARGE TREES MAY NEED MOVING AND PLANTING BY MACHINE.

WATERING MAY BE ESSENTIAL DURING THE FIRST TWO YEARS AT LEAST FOR LARGE TREES AND ESPECIALLY MATURE TREES. AFTER YOU BUY LARGE TREES THEY SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO DRY OUT DURING THIS TIME.
