Dog Rose

Rosa canina hedging

From £6.99

A perfect addition to any mixed native hedge, Dog Rose (Rosa canina) flowers lightly scented pink and white open flowers in May and June which are then followed by red and orange fruits which are tasty for birds. This hedging plant is also intruder proof from its spikey stems and this dense cover makes a good retreat for wildlife. Dog Rose is very fast growing and it will do well in most soil types. Rosa canina is known to be a rambling shrub, it will create a bushy hedge but it most commonly is combined with other shrubs to produce an intruder proof barrier and add summer flower interest.
