The Heuchera Collection features a diverse range of these incredibly colourful shrubs, chosen for their richly coloured foliage and flowers. These extremely popular and versatile, low-growing shrubs are perfect for beds, borders, rockeries, slopes, banks and under-planting, or for adding vibrant colour to the patio or garden area in containers.
Our Heuchera Collection consists of a range of popular Heuchera varieties, chosen for their exceptionally colourful attributes. Each pack of 6 pots will be made up from a selection of the following species: Heuchera Binoche Heuchera Caramel Heuchera Fire Chief Heuchera Forever Purple Heuchera Green Spice Heuchera Lime Marmalade Heuchera Marmalade Also known as alum root, these extraordinarily diverse and highly colourful shrubs are hugely varied in their form and flower and planting several varieties in the garden can create a beautiful and interesting tapestry. They are clumping, low-growing shrubs that in comparison, produce taller flower panicles with tubular flowers in summer. The flowers either contrast in colour to the foliage providing a striking counterpoint or complement with a similar, colourful hue. The stems themselves can also be brightly coloured and attractive in their own right. Heuchera will grow up to 50cm in height and can have a similar spread depending on variety. They grow best in moist, well-drained soil but will adapt to other soil types and prefer full sun or partial shade. Although ideal plants for beds and borders, rockeries, ground cover and under-planting of other taller shrubs, they will also grow well in more challenging environments such as on banks and slopes, and in suburban or urban locations. However, they will thrive equally well in containers, where the more unusual coloured varieties can make a unique and attractive focal point to brighten any outdoor space. The require little by way of maintenance but for pruning and tidying up, in early spring simply cut back leggy or woody stems to a leaf bud.
